As previously promised, the HIGH ENERGY HEROES Show is ready to bring you another round of MEXICAN ITALO DISCO by some familiar names ALEXANDER GC, DIGIMAX, ARNULFO VALLES, JUAN MAGALLON. (We included the "Dime Que Me Amas" by Juan Magallon in this mix). DJ FLASHBACK brings you another round of the HIGH ENERGY HEROES SHOW and since we've been absent for so long, we will post it on the blog before it even airs on the radio!
By the way, many of you have asked... Why the long wait?? Well, we recently upgraded our studio equipment. We just upgraded our Pioneer CDJ's to the 1000 MK3 series, as well as upgraded our rather old Technics SL 1200 MK2's for a pair of new MK5's and of course with new Ortofon Elektro headshells. Our studio monitors were also upgraded and new Dynamic Range Compressors were added to give HIGH ENERGY HEROES a more kick and 80s feel like if you were back in the nightclubs. The quality really makes a difference in the long run and especially with the new Pioneer DJM - 800 that replaced the 600, brings cleaner mixing for you guys!

ITALO DISCO STILL LIVES ON!
Hey friends of HIGH ENERGY HEROES, we apologize for taking so long in getting back at you! We've had some technical problems of our own and we also upgraded some of our equipment to bring you a better HIGH ENERGY - ITALO DISCO experience.
Many believe that the ITALO DISCO sound is dead, well here is to prove you wrong. You may remember the January 3rd, 2010 episode of HIGH ENERGY HEROES where we had all new ITALO DISCO sounds from Mexican DJs such as Arnulfo Valles and Juan Magallon. Here those two are at it again in this production titled "Dime Que Me Amas" (Tell Me That You Love Me) and honestly it has the catchy ITALO DISCO sound. Hopefully they are so kind to give us a copy of their acetate once released so we can spin it on HIGH ENERGY HEROES in the future. But for now, we leave you with the YouTube video "Behind The Scenes" if you will.

HIGH ENERGY HEROES SHOW (02-14-10) VALENTINE'S DAY 2010 SPECIAL with CARLOS PÉREZ
Here is the HIGH ENERGY HEROES show mixed by DJ FLASHBACK for the week of OCTOBER 11TH, 2009. Artists featured on this mix include CLIFF TURNER, BABY'S GANG, MAX-HIM, YOH-YO, BIZZY & CO., SHY ROSE, PEOPLE LIKE US & many more!
This week we also showcase Carlos Pérez best known for his 1985 internationally known hit "Las Manos Quietas" (covered by John Sauli as "Sweet Conversations") produced by none other than Fonny De Wulf. Since it's VALENTINE'S DAY, we decided to showcase several other more appealing songs for the occasion. Although his songs are in Spanish, his voice and his music is known all throughout the Italo Disco world with hits such as "Poco A Poco", "Soltero", "Acercate" (a cover of the John Sauli song Tonight Is The Night). Here are some pictures and a video brought to us by Youtube and user "AplausoTV" who was able to have a copy of Carlos performing live.

HIGH ENERGY HEROES SHOW (TRIBUTE TO TONY BARRERA & THE PHARAONIC POLYMARCHS) (12-06-09)
Here is the HIGH ENERGY HEROES show for December 6th, 2009. This week we tribute the Mexican soundsystem POLYMARCHS and the late TONY BARRERA who was their leading frontman, DJ, and choreographer throughout the 1980s and was involved in the rise of POLYMARCHS starting of a HIGH ENERGY MUSIC revolution in MEXICO CITY. He was the main DJ from 1979 up until his death in 1998 where he was replaced by VICTOR ESTRELLA, who is the current DJ. TONY BARRERA's legacy has lived throughout the years, and many DJs take inspiration in his accomplishments. Not only was he involved with the SONIDERO, he also became an innovator in the underground dance music scene in MEXICO CITY and even collaborated with famous producer ALLAN COELHO to produce the smash freestyle hit "DURI DURI (BAILA, BAILA) by CLICK" How many of you remember this track? Ha! Anyways, this week in particular was the 31st Anniversary of the great "SONIDERO" as they say in the capital, and we decided to take a trip 20 years into the past to bring you TONY BARRERA in action on the turntables.
This was recorded at an event circa September 1989, and was distributed as their MASTER PRODUCTION at the November 5th, 1989 show in PALACIO DE LOS DEPORTES (see fliers below). Canadian band TAPPS would perform as well as Italian duo KINKY GO. Included in their MASTER PRODUCTION, and now brought back and re-mastered for HIGH ENERGY HEROES. This is truly a gem which is truly rare so don't miss your chance HIGH ENERGY MUSIC LOVERS!
